In this article, you will be guided on how to check if the CALIFIA® Patient Module and software are correctly connected and ready to work.
- Launch Software: Open the CALIFIA® Simulator Software.
- Navigate to About Section: Go to the left side MENU and click on “About”.
Figure 1: About Panel with not detected CPM.
Figure 1 illustrates a scenario where the CPM is not detected, while Figure 2 shows the expected appearance of a correctly detected CPM.
Figure 2: About Panel with detected CPM.
- If the CPM is not detected:
- Please check all the connections.
- Ensure the power cable is properly connected and that the CPM’s power button is switched ON. Approximately 30 seconds after turning it on, you should hear the valves opening. If no sound is heard, contact a Biomed Simulation representative.
- If the connections are correct but the CPM is still not detected:
- Check the IP address in the network configuration. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet. Ensure the settings match Figure 3. If not, click Edit, select IPv4, and input the correct IP address and subnet mask.

- Check the IP address in the network configuration. Open Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet. Ensure the settings match Figure 3. If not, click Edit, select IPv4, and input the correct IP address and subnet mask.
- If the IP configuration is correct and the CPM remains undetected:
- Open the Command Prompt by searching "Terminal" in the Start menu.
- Run the command: ping -t 100.100.100.11, Figure 4.
